First of all, you should know that both concepts refer to different types of finishes, in other words, the final treatment given to a tile to make it more realistic in respect to the natural texture it reproduces, such as stone or wood, or to completely change the appearance of a plain tile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although we are going to focus on the differences between the <strong>polished finish and the satin finish<\/strong>, let&#8217;s not forget that ceramic is a material that is really rich in finishes. It is common to find collections with different finishes such as glossy, matt (opaque finish) or lappato (glossy and matt at the same time).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But, what are the main differences between a polished  finish and a polished finish?\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>satin finish<\/strong> could be defined as a &#8220;velvety&#8221; finish that achieves an aesthetic piece with a soft and pleasant touch that, in addition, stands out for its matt effect that allows the reflection of light. It is a finish that is easy to maintain and, as a technical advantage, does not pose any danger of slipping.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The <strong>polished finish<\/strong> is, without a doubt, another of the most popular finishes. Its main advantage is that it creates a delicate, clean and elegant finish that eliminates any imperfections that may remain on the tile. But if there is one thing that makes polished tiles stand out, it is their shine and the luminosity they bring to rooms.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the satin finish gives us pieces with a subtle, soft and silky shine, the ceramic collections with a polished finish are all about shine and luminosity. There are also differences in the manufacturing process of both types of finishes: while the satin finish is part of the production process of the tile and does not require any further treatment, the polished tiles go through a special surface polishing procedure to give it that unique shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are different finishes that can be suitable for the same type of ceramic, although some are more suitable than others depending on the materials we want to reproduce. <strong>Marble<\/strong>, for example, can have polished finishes to achieve the characteristic shine of these rocks.
